It just amazes me to think about how much God really does love us.
Once we realize that, we can do anything, because Love enables us to live as a conqueror in the world.
Cultivating the love of God in your life and sharing it with others is the key to experiencing the fullness of His power. Without love, the gifts of God are useless. And without those gifts in operation in your life, you are ultimately useless to God.
In the last days, the love of many will grow cold (Matthew 24:4-12). Many people, including Christians, are abandoning the “love realm” in order to operate in the “sense realm.” Many are convinced that walking in love is useless because of the sinful and lawless times they are living in.
When you became born again, you received an “injection of love” from the Holy Spirit, Who came to live inside of you. As a result, you have an anointing or God—given ability that makes it possible for you to love in a supernatural way. You can show affection toward others despite their actions. In addition, you are more than capable of retaliating the right way, which is according to the Word of God.
Your vertical relationship with God will determine the effectiveness of your horizontal relationship with others. That means, by perfecting your love walk with others, you are ultimately perfecting your love walk with God. When you choose not to love others, you allow fear to affect you, which gives Satan access to your life.
How can you perfect your love? Always keep God as the focal point of everything that you do. Pray in tongues in order to keep yourself in the love of God (Jude 1:20-21). Practice loving everyone, especially those of your own household.
If you are not walking in God’s love, then you are limiting what God can do in your life. I encourage you to take the love test by reading 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. After reading this portion of Scripture, you will know to what extent you have—or have not—walked this day with love.
